Working experiences:
• Since 1997 employed at ERICo Velenje, Ecological Research & Industrial Cooperation, as a researcher in the field of ecology, with emphasis on environmental pollution, wildlife ecology and game management.
• Supplementary employed as a researcher at Slovenian Forestry Institute since April 2005.
• Supplementary employed as a higher school teacher at Environmental Protection College Velenje (VŠVO) since April 2005 and as a Dean at the same college since April 2013.

• Chairman of the Scientific and Organising Committees at the 8th European Roe Deer Meeting (Velenje, 25–29 June 2007), attended by 85 experts from 16 European countries.
• Organiser and Chairman of the Scientific Committee at five international conferences/meetings on wildlife management, dedicated towards direct transfer of new scientific findings into the practice (toward end-users) and improvement of the population management, as follows: (i) roe deer (Velenje, 22 November 2008; 110 participants from 4 countries); (ii) wild boar (Velenje, 17–18 September 2010; 100 participants from 5 countries); (iii) red deer (Velenje, 12 November 2011; 107 participants from 7 countries); (iv) chamois (Velenje, 22 November 2012; 95 participants from 6 countries); (v) small game (Velenje, 21 November 2013; 90 participants from 4 countries).
• Member of the Scientific Committees at two international conferences: 2nd International Symposium »Game and Ecology« (Plitvice, Croatia, 17–20 October 2007); 9th European Roe Deer Meeting (Edinburgh, Scotland, 2–5 July 2009).
• External expert in the project »Wildlife Health Monitoring« (leader: Prof. dr. Alen Slavica, Veterinary Faculty Zagreb; 2007–2012).
• Collaborator (external expert) in the realisation of two Summer Schools in Wildlife Management (Zagreb, Croatia, July 2011 and July 2012).

• Establishment of the sample collection of exceptional value, i.e. >100,000 mandibles of free-ranging ungulates, culled in all Slovene hunting grounds in the period 2007–2012.
• Author of the Environmental indicator (KOS – ARSO) entitled »Exposure of roe deer to heavy metals (lead and cadmium) and fluorides [ZD08]«.
• Member of the Extended Editorial Board of “Zb. Gozd. Les.” in the period 2006–2011.
• Member of the Editorial Board of “Zlatorogov Zb.” since 2012.
• Reviewer of 14 scientific papers, published in international scientific journals, and 9 scientific papers, published in Slovene journals.
• Reviewer in the evaluation/selection of international and national project proposals (e.g. See-Era-Net-Plus; different calls of Slovene MVŠZT).
• Reviewer of the Slovene hunting encyclopaedia “Wildlife and hunting” and co-author of the chapter “Basis of wildlife ecology” (2012).
• Holder of the “Licence for performing risk assessment for the nature before (re)introduction of alien free-ranging plant or animal species or before breeding of alien wildlife species” for terrestrial mammals, birds, fish, and fungi (ARSO, valid until 17 July 2018).
• Direct transfer of recent scientific findings on wildlife ecology and population management towards end-users, i.e. by: (i) giving several (>40) lectures to the game managers in Slovenia and in Croatia (e.g. at the 16th international fair “Hunting, fishing, nature, tourism”, Varaždin, 7 October 2011); (ii) publishing professional papers in the Slovene hunters’ magazine Lovec (co-author of 18 papers in the period 2008–2013).
